Bear Grylls TV Career Is Over Bitcoin Scam (Fake BBC News Promotion)

Dale

A lot of strange adverts have been appearing online lately claiming that Bear Grylls TV career is over & his sources of wealth became known.

Bear Grylls TV Career Is OverThe adverts include the URL “bbcnews.com” leading you to believe that the story has been published by BBC News & that it’s actually credible, but it’s far from it.

The story about Bear Grylls wealth hasn’t really featured on BBC News & instead it’s all just a clever (and weird) ploy to trick people into signing up to a Bitcoin scam.

In this blog post, I’ll be uncovering how it all works, how you can avoid getting caught out, and I’ll also be sharing the legitimate ways you can earn money online instead.

Is Bear Grylls TV Career Over?

Despite the adverts claiming that Bear Grylls TV career is over, it’s actually from it.

Admittedly, Bear Grylls did indeed suffer a setback with his TV career back in 2012 when he was “sacked” from the Discovery Channel but it wasn’t as bad as the BBC News headlines made out.

The real reason he departed from the Discovery Channel was simply just because of a contractual disagreement.

Discovery deemed that his show posed “great risks”, and it appears that they couldn’t come to an agreement on how to proceed, meaning his show was cut from the Discovery Channel.

But that didn’t stop Bear Grylls TV career at all.

At the time of writing this article he’s actually the host of 6 different TV shows, which are as follows:

  • Running Wild
  • You VS Wild
  • The Island
  • Bears Mission with –
  • Hostile Planet
  • World’s Toughest Race

And here’s a screenshot of his official Twitter profile which backs up that TV career:

The Bear Grylls adverts being promoted, however, want you to believe that his TV career is over because they want you to believe he’s discovered a secret source of wealth.

What Are Bear Grylls Sources of Wealth?

If you’ve already scoped out the advert that’s being promoted about Bear Grylls & clicked through to the so-called “BBC News” article then you’ll likely have read about Bear Grylls Bitcoin wealth.

The problem, however, is that it’s not real.

I mean yes, Bear Grylls, with a net worth of $24 million is clearly a very wealthy man, but his wealth wasn’t accrued through Bitcoin like the fake promotion wants you to believe.

Bear’s wealth has come from a number of sources.

The primary source, of course, has been his TV career, but alongside that, he’s also written a series of children’s novels & thrillers novels.

Plus he’s a motivational speaker & he also runs his own survival academy in the Scottish highlands.

Those are his real sources of wealth.

But the fake promotions want you to believe otherwise. They want you to believe that he discovered a Bitcoin system & used that to generate millions after his career ended.

The Bear Grylls Bitcoin Scam

Basically the whole story about Bear Grylls TV career being over is completely fabricated & it’s been put together & promoted by some people behind various known Bitcoin scams.

They’ve created a fake news website which has been designed to look like BBC News & they’ve set up adverts on social media with spoofed addresses to promote it.

The adverts display the URL “bbcnews.com” so at a glance they appear to be legit & when clicked, they redirect you through to the story on a website which appears to be the BBC News website.

The problem, however, is that it’s not really the BBC News website.

The story then goes on to claim that Bear Grylls TV career ended & that he didn’t know what to do until he “luckily” discovered a Bitcoin system which enabled him to quietly amass a fortune.

And the story then links to the Bitcoin system in question for you to try it out for yourself.

The links change, but primarily it seems to be promoting a system named the Britcoin system.

The hope from the scammers is that you’ll believe Bear Grylls really used it & that because it appears on the BBC News website it must be trustworthy.

But of course, it’s not.

The system is nothing more than a scam & it’s a scam that could see you losing a LOT of money.

You see, basically, the system claims to be an automated Bitcoin trading system & you’re led to believe that after making an initial deposit it’ll simply trade Bitcoin profitably on your behalf.

But the system is no more than a videogame. It’s not really connected to any live markets & its real intention is just to trick you into depositing more & more so that the people behind it can earn at your expense.

After making your initial deposit (which of course I don’t recommend) it’ll appear to be working, and profits will show up within your account.

The people behind it will then call you and encourage you to deposit more in order to increase those profits, but they are not real. They have been faked by the scammers to trick you.

Then, later down the line when you try to actually withdraw your profits you’ll just be left to find out the hard way that the whole thing has actually just been a con.

Bear Grylls, of course, doesn’t really have anything to do with it, the scammers behind it have just leveraged his name to try to make you believe it is actually legit.

He actually made a public post on Twitter stating that he doesn’t endorse it whatsoever as shown below:

A Legitimate Alternative

It's true to say that there are many scams online, but in among the scams there actually some legitimate (and very good) ways to earn extra money online.

Some of them, with effort, can even see you earning a living online.

My top recommended method (which is the same method I personally use to earn an income online) is something called affiliate marketing.

Affiliate marketing basically involves you promoting products for companies like Amazon online & getting paid commissions in return. It's a fantastic way to earn.

The best thing about affiliate marketing is that there are no eligibility requirements to get started meaning its open to everybody & the amount you can earn with it is uncapped.

You can learn more about it here.

On top of affiliate marketing (my top recommended method), there are also still some other good ways that you can earn too.

The alternatives may not necessarily see you earning as much, but if you want to check them all out & see which fits your criteria best, you can check them out here all the same.
